First attempt at digital life drawing. While my school doesn’t have a class that specializes in it, I’m lucky enough to have an instructor that lets me lug a laptop in among the other students using ink and charcoal. Times are in captions.
it’s william h macy!
killin time in class with a white-out pen lemme tell ya
sorry that i’ve been absent for so long! Here’s a lady.
ok ok so I wanted to do the pokedecember /pokedexy challenge but then I was like nah, so I thought I would do at least one pokemon. Sableye is just the creepiest ghost-type, so I chose it.
I’m really addicted to 3d sculpting right now, so I modeled it in Sculptris (basically it’s free zbrush) and then rendered lights and painted it in Photoshop CC. Love that you can do that. WIPS are below. I might upload some alternate ideas I had later.
okay well I STILL have no idea how to model or rig, but I’m super enjoying painting on 3d surfaces. this is my first try at it, but I’m enjoying things enough to keep at it. The sculpt itself is really bad (read: lumpy and undefined and gross) so much of the definition came from painting.
I didn’t intend to go this far, so she’s got no hair or anything, but I’m gonna keep trying with more complex subjects. Any and all feedback would be awesome. Again, I cannot stress enough that I have NO IDEA what I am doing. NONE. I need to actually study things before I just barge in…
Went for a cutesy and pretty old lady look. Inspired by bunnies and BJD eyes. You know. those biiiiig ol’ eyes that look into your soul? I like ‘em.
EEEEEEEE THIS IS FUN
